The mystery of the PINK tape runner

LOL.... I have not been on here awhile and was just reading my last post which made me think about my DAMN tape runner again.... and what possibly could have happened to it. So I took the STEP.... YEP that's right..... into that dreaded SCRAP room. A thought about the last time I used my tape runner of course was at HEIDI..... NOW how long ago was that!!! Anyway so I ventured into the unknown.... LOL.... and opened up my SILVER HS bag.... the one we were given with all our products in it and in a lonely box was my pink runner..... YAH.... she is found. Now does that mean I have to start scrapping again!!!! Well I tidied up a little.... about 15 minutes in there was enough for ME.... I can kind of see my desk and its a start RIGHT!
I have accepted another 6 months on the SHELF DT.... along with another 3 talented ladies..... OMG I don't know what I am going to do and I might give myself a heart attack when the products arrive for ME to actually scrap.... I really don't know how I am going to do it..... I have not even ventured into scrapping BLOGS I am too scared to know how I would feel when I see everyones beautiful WORK........ So sorry girls but might go have a look at what you all have been up to now. Till next time or maybe in a few months LOL

Challenge from Kathie and Kerry

Ok so Kathie and Kerry have sent me a little challenge... OMG I was thinking I hope they have not asked me to scrap anything.... LOL.... I have still NOT scrapped and am still happy about it....YIPEE the challenge is NOT a scrapping challenge but a photo challenge :) So the challenge is to upload a the 4th photo from your 4th Folder and give us a little explanation about it....

SO here it is.....

This photo would be familiar to alot of people.... it is one of my most favourite photos of Bailey... playing ball in my backyard.... This was taken March 2008.... He is a friend of mines little boy..... he is NOT mine but would LOVE him to BE!!!

Well as I mentioned I have not scrapped in awhile and I was sitting here and needed some tape and went to my scraproom in search of my pink runner..... ARRRGGGHH I cannot find her..... and the last time I saw her was at Heidi,..... I have not scrapped since than. So I said to my hubby have you seen my pink runner, he said NO.... UMMMM I said I have not seen her since Heidi..... and he said oh yeh Heidi Swapp..... I burst into laughter.... He asked me why.... I just could not believe he remembered her name.... he said you always talk about her and her products.... I do listen to you, you know...... HE is so sweet..... I love him to bits!

So thats about it from ME till next time.... I do have photos to share but I have to go get dinner organised.. Thanks for a great challenge ladies :)

It's been awhile......

WOW..... I have thought about updating for so long but I have nothing to share.... I have not been scrapbooking..... I think the last time I actually done anything was the beginning of December..... when I completed my calendar.
But SERIOUSLY..... I have really considered giving scrapbooking away for awhile.... I just have NO passion for it at the moment. I have not even felt like going to the shops and buying anything..... even walking in my scraproom..... and I have not missed creating one little bit..... I know most of you would say that is SAD but I don't feel SAD about it I feel a relief....... That I don't have any commitments LOL.

Anyway lots going on in my household...... so where do I start!!!!

1. Jamie had his 15th Birthday..... WOW do you believe that, he has grown up so fast but still my little boy. Will share photos of the day when I upload them.

2. Matthew went out to work with his Uncle.... which has given me my sanity back.... I know that sounds bad but I feel like the load of bricks on my shoulders have been lifted... I hope it works out for him out there.

3. I have my Scraproom back...... UMMMMM hubby wants to do it up for me but NAH I don't even want to step foot into that room right NOW!

4. Charlene has decided to move out to a farm with a friend...... she is moving this Friday. I don't agree with her decision but she is 20 and a BIG girl and if she thinks she can survive than let her go.....

5. Jamie has been away at his Nanna's for 2 weeks...... I miss the little devil as he normally will only last 1 week and will want to come home. This time he is enjoying it down there at the beach..... he will be home on Sunday. The house has been quiet around here without him. He will come home to an empty house with only Andrew and ME....

6. Andrew and I went to Hervey Bay the other weekend for my Aunty's 80th Birthday. SO we decided to make it a romantic weekend away..... OMG yes it was..... I had the most awesome weekend..... everything about it was SPECIAL. We stayed at Peppers Pier Resort, Beautiful 5 star appartments...... we will be definitely going back there again. We are thinking of going there for the Valentines day weekend.... waiting to see if we can get a baby sitter for Jamie first....

7. Have been trying to stay on a "HEALTHY EATING PLAN"..... since the new year.... UMMM I have been trying to stick to it but have not lost any weight yet..... so maybe I am not trying hard enough LOL.

2009 Flip Desk Top Calendar

I have been creating a 2009 Calendar for our Inspirational Calendar Challenge over at the Shelf..... and FINALLY it is finished, wrapped and delivered to its new owner. I just LOVED how it turned out.... it took months and months but the end result was sooo worth it.I made the base from scratch with a few hiccups and different ideas at first but than finally worked out the design so that it would sit on the desk without toppling over, cause as the months go by most of the pages end up on one side.
This was a gift I gave to my boss as a special Christmas Present... No photos were added to the pages but she loved it and cant wait to find 12 special photos to add to the calendar. She will give it back to me and I will fix it all up for her, and maybe add a little something special to each of the photo pages. As I kept them plain as I was unsure what the photo might be to put on them later. I will enjoy getting this back and having another play with it..... I would also like to thank my friend Maria for lending me her "Bind it All".... this little thing gave me a little grief in the beginning but I should have listened to Maria's instructions LOL.

I can share with you a few pages but cannot show you them all as I will put one up each month on the SHELF...... In January we will be doing the month of March.

December DT projects

This month I got to play with Scenic Route LIBERTY PP's...... OH I just love using red white and blue. For some reason Bailey is always wearing red and I have soooo many photos that I need to scrap of him.
I was also given this little MINI STAR album from twiddlybitz...... and this is what I created.






Also I made a couple of layouts using the left over PP's...

November DT Projects

For the month of November I was given Making Memories Fa La La PP's and embellishments. I am a big fan of Making Memories and was glad to be given this kit to work with. I was also given a Kaiser Christmas Tree Tag Album.... which I made into "Believe in the Magic of Christmas" theme.


And I also made a layout using the same photo.... So love this photo of Zoey.

HEIDI SWAPP

I have been a FAN of Heidi since the day I had her amazing products in my hot little hands..... I have sooo much Heidi and LOVE all her products. So I just had to go meet her at CREATE08 and I am so glad I did.... it was the most amazing experience I have ever had. She is the most amazing little pocket rocket I have ever met. She is just so full of energy and I just found every word she said so inspirational......!
We were given the most amazing kits.....

new stuff and old products and shown how to use them with so many different techniques and IDEAS. I am NOT a stamper, or like to play around with inks or even touch those masks but after yesterday I cant wait to play with this stuff even more :)
Here is a little sneak of what we received....
So look out shops I really need to get myself some more INKS.
We received one of her 9 x 9 calendars and step by step instructions on how to complete it. We only managed to get 2 pages done but it will be easy enough to get the rest completed with our own little touches as well.... I cant wait to have time over the holidays to do it.
We also got to make an AMAZING Mirror album..... OMG I just love love love it and cant wait to complete it and put photos and all that stuff all about ME.....It is just an album for US...... but if you don't do YOU than you can definitely change it of course.
I also got to meet Tanya, Lou and Kerry from the SHELF FORUM and what beautiful ladies they are and I so enjoyed their company all day and friendship..... thank you girls. Also to Nikki for driving ME, I love spending the day with you creating and just enjoying the day catching up.
We also got a little retail therapy in as the venue closed earlier than we planned which was rather sad as the day went sooooo fast. Than off to dinner we all went, thanks girls for accommodating ME... you know how fussy I am with my food...!
So again I just LOVED all the company, the day, the creating it was totally INSPIRING.... THANK YOU!!!
I didn't take photos but the other girls did and they are going to send me photos they took of ME and HEIDI:)

Enchanted Cottage Workshop

I am very excited to be running my first ever workshop over at Scrapbook Shelf in the beginning of December. Trudi has put together a kit using the MF Colonial house with MF Enchanted Christmas PP's. This is such a cute little house, so if you would like to see how I bring this chipboard house to life, head over to the site and check it out here.

The workshop will be set up for the first week in December and will be a night time, as I work during the day most days. Of course, if you are unable to attend on the night of the class, you will still be able to access the instructions via the classroom on the forum at a more convenient time for you!

November Sketch Challenge.

OMG I have not update in so LONG

I am so sorry girls for not updating.... I just don't know where the time goes. I really need at least 10 days in a week and only work for 5 of them. I will be back later to update what I have been up to. I am installing my new computer now.... It has been sitting here for a few days, but I have managed to get it up and running within an hour!!! WOW I remember taking hours and hours to install my last computer. It definitely shows how technology has improved over the years.
So bare with me as I have no pictures or photos installed yet and when I do I promise I will upload...

Slice Of LIFE

Last Friday we had FNG at the Shelf with the winners of The Slice of Life Comp being announced..... SO I have to give a HUGE Congrats to Maria for winning..... YAH and she received a MM slice machine!! Runner Up was Leanne (Sillyscraps) and Third Place goes to Sandy..... The scores were very close and you did not just earn points for layouts created but for bonus challenges etc...... so it really did pay to be on the look out every moment for an extra point here and there!
There were a few HONOURABLE mentions too which go to Tanya..... Honey.... Annette....Fran.....Renae.....Julie....... and Paperdoll (Louise).... LOVED the consistency every week from these girls and it was sure damn hard to vote!!! It was an awesome comp and Trudi was so so generous with all the prizes that were given away during the competition too.... SAD it is over as I don't get to look at all the awesome layouts flooding into the gallery every week...... So a BIG CONGRATULATIONS to everyone that entered!!!!

I did manage to get a couple of layout done for FNG, the theme was "LIFESTYLES OF THE RICH AND THE FAMOUS"

I also used some new PP's from Pink Paislee "VIntage Moon"..... how cute is that owl!! I cut him out of 2 pieces of PP and 3D'd him..... I just love this new range too!

ON the home front!

UMMMM sometimes I wonder how I survive most days at the moment..... The house is crazy and I feel like I don't have a second of peace.... Matt is back home.... and finally started a new job yesterday. But one problem.... MUM has to be the taxi!!!! But at least he has a job and hopefully we can work out something down the track how he can get to and from work.... HE went for his learners last week and failed and its so hard to get him motivated and go again!!!
I had been sick from the flu and had to get better to go and Celebrate my hubby's birthday..... we went to the Gold Coast for the weekend and had an awesome time.... We both so needed to just get away from life here at home.... it was so nice to be just ME and HIM.... It was very romantic indeed:)
Jamie also got the flu and now it has turned into Bronchitis..... he has been so sick and just as we thought he was getting better he got worse! Back to the doctors and have to keep an eye on him closely!!! Poor LITTLE man.
So I have not managed to scrap for nearly a week..... just a mess in my scrap room and too much going on at home too!

UPDATE UPDATE

I had a good look at my blog last night and could not believe I had NOT uploaded all my DT work for JUNE and JULY..... SO this morning I finally finished uploading most of my layouts not all but a good portion at least!!! There were no August Challenges but I did put my July Challenges way down the bottom...... But be on the look out next week for my "MME" Collection that I created for Scrapbook Shelf. Than make sure you come back on September 1st to check out my sketch and all the other amazing challenges by the other DT girls!!! I promise now I will keep my blog updated.... it takes too long to upload photos and especially the amount I had..... BAD BAD BLOGGER! I have not even gone to check out other blogs but I will definitely be around by the end of the month:)

Prima "DUDE" Collection

Also for July I also created layouts using the Prima "Dude" Collection. Awesome BOY papers... bright and funky.... I had so much fun putting together a collection using these PP's and COOL embellishments..... HERE is what I created!

July I got to play with the NEW "Noteworthy II" PP's from Making Memories..... OMG I have loved what Making Memories have done with their ranges since thier first noteworthy collection!!! They now are on my top 5.....These papers are so easy to use and just divine!!! Here is what I created.....
