Cyber Crop at Scrapbook City

Well I have been a busy girl this weekend and completed 3 layout for the Cyber Crop at Scrapbook City, it is actually the first one that I completed all 3 challenges. I really enjoyed the different tasks set and made me scrap out of my comfort zone.

This is the first challenge which was to use numbers on a layout 3 different ways. Well I had NO paper at all that had any numbers on it so that was not an option for me. So I decided to do a layout of Bailey's Birth which would have heaps of numbers to include on a layout. So I used rub-ons, chipboard and twill.

This is the 2nd Challenge which was to use a combination of a primary colour and a pastel. Well my dilemma was paper again so I chose just a pastel pink patterned paper and decided to add bright yellow. I had to paint the HS large floral as the yellow flower looked too orange and I wanted bright yellow. So this is just a very simple layout I put together of Zoey at 8 months.

This was the last challenge and I think the most hardest! It was to use 4 photos and 4 Patterned Papers and the only embellishments or techniques to use had to start with the letter P. But Michelle was being nice and let us use one embellishment extra. So as usual I chose CHIPBOARD.. just love this stuff. So I used 4 chipboard items (letters, arrow, brackets and photo turns). I used paint, punched out 4 words and use a paw paper clip. These are photos of Charlene's new puppy TONKA, isn't he just adorable!

Term 2 Week 3 Challenge

Well this challenge was to make the title your focus using different chipboard fonts. Never done this before so this was going to be an challenge definitely. Also for the hard option you were only able to use 5 eyelets, 4 buttons, 3 flowers, 2 pieces of ribbon and 1 Patterned Paper. So I have worked on this through the week to push myself to get out of bed and do some scrapping. Got side tracked as usual and spent hours cleaning up the room again, I dont know why it takes this long to clean up after a layout. But I went through all my chipboard and sorted everything out into little snaplock bags and put alphabets away in there right box, this was a job and a half. But anyway this is my layout, I so wanted to add a bit more but had to control myself. But am kinda happy with it!.....
On the ME front, everything is okay. I have been much stronger this week but will admit that I have been abit clingy (is that a word) with Andrew, like hold on to him and never let him go (if I could). I miss him when he is at work and am so excited when he finally gets home, so I think I have become a little insecure and he just seems to be my strength. I love him to bits and am so lucky to have him in my life....

Charlene's New PUPPY

Stephen bought Charlene a puppy for her birthday and he is so cute. His name is Tonka! I was feeling a little down this afternoon and went for a drive and ended up at Charlene's and had a little play with him. He did put a smile on my face and made me forget about my own problems. He is so cute now as he is only a puppy....

Well I have been alright, I have my bad moments but try and stay strong as I dont want to be a blubbering mess. I try to avoid any questions or how you doing from people this is the best way for me to deal with things at the moment. Still having trouble sleeping and than in the mornings just dont want to get out of bed but I have Jamie to get off to school so I have to get up. Going to sleep I find the hardest and end up falling asleep in Andrews arms in a blubbering mess. I am just finding it so hard even to talk to him as I know he is hurting just as much as me. But I am trying to stay strong I promise!
I got an email from Maria and I couldn't stop crying I am so glad she is on the other side of the world at the moment.(If you know what i mean). But the girls on the forum also have been very supportive and have nice words to say and that helps alot tooo.

Term 2 Week 2 Challenge

Well this challenge was to do a monogram or if you chose the hard option make your own. I traced the MM large B monogram on to chipboard than sewed the flowers on the Patterned Paper than stuck it on to the chipboard. Wasn't real happy with the outcome but was really not up to scrapping this week so I just put this quickly together. I really do love the bling word though. This layout is actually on an 8 x8 for my ME album which I haven't done any pages for so long.

My little girl turns 18 TODAY!

Wow do you believe it, Charlene turns 18 today. HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHARLENE and if I am correct I know that it will be a very stressful day for her trying to get ready for her party tonight. But hopefully she will not stress and enjoy her day, no plans just yet but I am sure she will have me running around doing something. She already rang me at 6am this morning stressing because Stephen went and got her birthday present (a puppy) and it was spewing and shitting everywhere. I was not impressed to be woken by a screaming girl on the other end, I just said give the puppy time to settle in!

Last night she came over and Andrew and I decided to give her birthday present early to her as Andrew will be at work all day today. I took some photos of her when she opened the box she was quite surprised and even had tears in her eyes. We bought a beautiful belcher bracelet and locket, yeh dont ask me how much it was but this girl is breaking my bank. It is a bracelet like the one that Andrew gave me the first year we were together but mine is rose gold. I did take a photo of it but just checked them and it is too blury. But I will put up a couple photos of her opening her present. I hope you have a wonderful day today Charlene and hope you have a great night tonight no drinking too much. Love you Heaps... And you are making me feel real OLD! Love Mum xxxx....
.
Now these are a few layouts and photos of her through out the years. This one is of her at 5 months old. Such an old layout but this was a class of Nikki's using Wild Asparagus papers. I do love it though and this was Charlene's first pixi photos she was nearly sitting up, but such a beautiful baby.
This layout is on her 2nd birthday, we bought her a swing set. She absolutely loved the monkey bars and would do all sorts of tricks and hang up side down on it. She always wanted to be outside on the swings she became an expert with them that is for sure.

This is a layout of Charlene's Formal last year, I absolutely love these layouts and photos. This was another class I did of Nikki's one of my favourites so I uploaded this one. I used the Basic Grey papers for all her formal layouts, yes and this also was another day which cost me a fortune, you gotta love girls they have such expensive taste!

And this layout is one of the most recent photos of Charlene taken in June while she was away in Newcastle and Sydney for the State of Origin. This was her first big trip away and first time on a plane. This layout was one I completed as a challenge at the Scrapbook City Retreat and the layout was judged by Karen Pedwell as best layout....

Term 2 Week 1 Challenge

This weeks challenge was to do a monochromatic layout, using no glue or tapes. Lucky I had finished my layout early in the week but only left it till last night to upload it. I used photos of Charlene's first trip to Newcastle than to Sydney to watch the first state of Origin game. I put the layout together with hand stitching, brads and photo turns. It was quite hard not to use glue especially on the Heidi Swapp journalling spots they are so thin and they bend out of shape quite easily. I am really enjoying doing these weekly challenges because it is the only scrapping that I have done at all lately.
Oh NO I have done a double layout that I did at a class at Scrapbooks Etc last Thursday, it was Susan's copy cat class. Great idea and always get to play with new papers and you even get to do a double layout at a great cost. I love it but mine is not completed yet, but I did it for Tamara's birthday album......

Thinking of YOU

My dear friend Lynette was releasing her grand daughters ashes on Saturday I am sorry I could not be there. But I do hope the day went well and you all were able to say your final good-byes. I know this is what Aleisha would have wanted to be set free along the water in such a beautiful place. Just want you to know Lynette that I was thinking of you and the kids.

Well on another note, I am preparing myself to go to the hospital. I just dont want to deal with terrible news, I have tried to stay positive but you know me always have gut feelings about things and I am always right. Just hope this time I am not right and they will finally find a little heartbeat!

On another note I thought I would share some more photos of Bailey here he is at 3 1/2 months. Alisha brings him around reguarly and I get snappy with the camera. These are very cute photos, he is dribbling everywhere and this day he would not shut his mouth, he kept poking his tongue out at ME! Itsn't he adorable and he is growing way too fast....

Pregnancy Update

Well it has been a few really hard days coming to terms with the Ultrasound results. It does not look real promising, the second Ultrasound found no heartbeat. Andrew did get to look at the screen as the lady did not let me look. He said the sac was bigger this time but a different shape, he said it looked more oval and like it was inflating. The radiologist said that the lining was very thin now on one side. My doctor said on Friday things dont look too promising but she sent me to have another blood test and on Monday morning I have to go to the hospital to have another Ultrasound and tests and they will tell me for sure what will need to be done.
As you can imagine we are both devestated and very disappointed. We have tried for so long and finally to have a bit of hope is now destroyed again.
I am trying to be strong, but just want to curl up in bed and never get out. And just hope this will all go away....

My pregnancy

I really dont know what to think, I had the first scare by the stupid Radiologist. When I went for my scan he really freaked me out by asking me heaps of questions. So I left there in nearly tears and rang my doctor straight away to find out what is wrong. Well he couldn't find the babies heart beat, but the doctor was so cranky because she said the baby was too small to hear the heart beat yet. So I had been going every second day to have a blood test to check my HCG levels, they are levels that raise every day the baby is growing. My levels each check has increased since the first day, so that is kind of promising.
But then on friday night I started spotting and have been panicing since, I had another blood test on Saturday and that showed again that the levels have increased slowly but have increased. I will go for another scan on Thurday but this time at Queensland X ray and this will show for sure what is happening with the baby.
Just can only sit and wait and rest in bed.

Term 1 Week 4

Well today I really needed to get my mind off things and decided to finish my layout. The challenge was to creat a layout about your 'Dream Holiday'. So I chose a photo of "Total Serenity". I would be happy to go on any holiday that was peaceful relaxing romantic and was with my husband. So this is my layout to share. This layout looks a bit different again to my normal stuff but I really like how this turned out. I love experiencing different styles at the moment, but I have noticed no sewing lately so will have to do some on my next layout. I have really enjoyed doing these challenges and it has actually made me scrap!

Broncos are Premiers

What a brilliant night it was and such a scary one. It was such a close game and I was still so nervous right to the end. My brother Tony went to the game and had an awesome time, they got to meet the players afterwards and got to hold the trophey.Do you believe that! When they showed me the photos I was soooo jealous. But love my footy and well done boys, cant wait till next year!

Term 1 Week 3 Homework

Well I spent Friday and Saturday putting my layout together, still really want to add a few more things to this yet but it was due in today so I just uploaded it. It is not such a great photo as I had to take a photo of it instead of scanning, because it is a double layout.

Charlene and Stephen had their house warming party last night, I took NO photos. The night was a good night but was upset I did not take my camera. My back is still so sore and I am about to go to work today. Dont know how I will go but hopefully it wont be as bad as last week.
Jamie is home from his holidays with Nanna, he came back and said he was not going back again that Dad was bad. So not real sure what happened there but Jamie does not normally say things like that about people unless they have upset him.
Andrew is off to golf today than we are going to Wayne and Rachel's for the BRONCOS final. Go the Broncos!!!!
