Term 1 week 2 homework

Well the challenge was to use ribbons as the main focus of a layout. I did manage to just whip together a layout. Did not take long but I wanted to do this weeks challenge as I didn't get to finish last weeks. So this is the layout that I created.
Well things have not been good with me, I hurt my back on Saturday at work and have not been able to move around much at all. I am off to the doctors now to see what I can do about it and my blood test results should be in also. Will organise a scan also to confirm dates ect for the Mater hospital.

OMG can you believe it! "I am PREGNANT"......

Well if you can see my new little ticker you will see that I am nearly 6 weeks pregnant. The doctor said that I nearly fell off the chair, I looked awfully shocked she said. I dont really know if it has really sunk in yet, I think I still dont believe it. I had to ask the doctor a few times to check the little test because the second line was faint at first. But before I left her office the line was more noticable. But I told her I needed to take the test home with me so I could double check and to be certain. She did look at me strangely.....
So now at the moment I have to have plenty of tests, straight away. I have told a few close friends, I think I nearly shocked them just as much as I was shocked. Andrew was so excited, he really didn't say much but his grin was from ear to ear. Other than him thinking that he has to wrap me up in cotton wool for the next 8 months. And his mother even has the same idea.
OMG I cant believe I am actually writing this!

A very sad day

Yesterday afternoon I received some awful news from my dear friend Lynette. Her granddaughter Alisha that she raised from 6 months of age was killed yesterday in an awful car accident at the age of 19 years old. So young and such a beautiful girl who had so much more to give to this world. Lynette is absolutely devistated and this has affected me dramatically and I just want to be there for her. So I am trying to organise a few things and hopefully will be able to fly out on Tuesday morning and spend the week there! My thoughts and prayers go out to all the family and am thinking of her, and I am sure she knows that! Love you Lynette.....

One more week of work

Wow do you believe it, only one week left of work! I finish up on Friday and will become a SAHM, well could you call it that since there will be no children at home during the day to look after. I will enjoy to actually have the school holidays with Jamie and go to the movies and bowling ect.
I start my new job on Saturday, just a little cleaning office job which will give me a little pocket money!
Lynette has booked her airfare and will be here on Friday the 15th to stay with me for the weekend. She is coming up for my farewell dinner for work.
Broncos played yesterday and won woo hooo, now I have to try and get some tickets for Saturday nights game.
Nothing much has been happening and No layouts to share as I have done a few but am thinking about submitting them to FK awards for excellence. I dont know why I am, there is so much better talent out there than me! But good luck to everyone that is trying out. But as soon as I get round to actually scrapping some others I definitely will share!
