Back to School
Finally the day is here, not that I was looking forward to it but to stop Jamie nagging me about going back LOL. He has been counting down the days for over a week now and all weekend he kept telling everyone "back to school Tuesday".
He was up with the sparrows this morning, he poked his head around the hallway about quarter to six and said "morning Mum, back to school today"....
He went straight back to him room and brought out the brand new uniforms I had bought and asked if these were the ones he was able to wear today..... He helped me pack his lunch and bag and quickly had breakfast all the while keeping a close eye on the time. I had to convince him to let me take a few photos, he said NO more but I said "you don't want mummy to cry do you?" I had him convinced and he let me take a few more photos with his gigantic bag on his back...
By 8 am he was out the door waiting on the footpath for his bus, but coming back and forth to the door every minute saying "late" and pointing to his wrist, like pointing to the time! Thank goodness the bus arrived at 8.15 with him running back to me at the front door and kissing me goodbye.... He was so excited to go and he fully understood that he was getting a new teacher, classroom and students....
These are a few of my favourite photos....
I also took photos of his bag, lunch, shoes etc as I am normally the one every year that picks his stuff but this year he chose everything :) I do forget that he is getting older and my other kids were doing this sort of thing way earlier... at least he is getting more independent and knows exactly what he wants cause I could not change his mind on anything!!!
I hope all your kids had a great first day back or some are back tomorrow.
Till next time
Take Care
