Reality Scrap Week 2

YAH Beth and I advanced into the second round, sadly we had to say good-bye to Niss and Renee, but they have joined the others and can still continue in the game and win prizes and accumulate points...
This weeks challenge was set by Pauline, it was to use a 8" MM Chipboard shape, MM Cheeky PP's, to have journaling on your chipboard and to use PP as your complete background.
My MM Chipboard Shape was a flower and I was like Christ what am I going to do with that! Thought about using a bracket instead but thought "NO, I need to challenge myself". So I had plenty of different ideas going through my head but than decided to cut the flower out to be like a frame and put a photo behind it, than I could put my journaling around the edge. OK great idea, until I started cutting. My goodness have you ever tried cutting through those things, my fingers are still killing me and I cut it out on Monday night.... Bad IDEA but worth it cause I think it looks great... the photo idea did not look too good and I was not happy with that at all, so had to change the whole layout design. So this is what I came up with....

WOW I cant believe how much better quality photo I have on here than in the SBC gallery, the PP's look heaps brighter....
I did add a couple of other MM Cheeky PP from the same range "Abby". Was not too certain about these papers at first because they are not my type but love what I did with them...

The journaling reads...
Zoey took one look at her new Fisher Price Little car and immediately fell in love. Her active imagination kept her happily occupied for hours as she pulled the little people in and out of the car. I loved the way Zoey's sweet expression reflected her joy of receiving this gift from US.

Will be back later to tell you about my valentines day... I need to take photos..

Brenda - thanks for your kind comments you left on my blog! Your flower looks great. I know what you mean about the quality of the gallery at sbc - it really frustrates me a lot that the LOs can't be crisp and clear and the colours are often washed out, and they're so small ... but I guess everyone's in the same boat. Well done on the LO! Good luck for this round!
