Valentines Day

Every year I have been lucky and receive something for Valentines Day, always flowers and a card... this year was a little different as I normally have to wait till Andrew gets home from work and be greeted with something. But in the morning I got up at to go to the toilet, while I was in there Andrew snuck my box of flowers and card on my bed side table. I got back into bed and didn't even notice them, I must have gone back in there with my eyes closed... Andrew came in a little later to kiss me goodbye, the normal morning ritual, I rolled over and there they were. I was so surprised, as I normally am on to this sort of thing. But he had been sneaky the day before and bought them and hid them under our bed. We were going to go out for dinner but decided that maybe on the weekend we could go and see a movie and grab a bite to eat while we are out.

I did the Internet banking this morning to pay the normal bills as it is Friday and saw the transactions on the account for the week and do you believe those flowers cost $50... OH how RUDE! I am very grateful for them but I really think these florists are going a bit over the top with prices. Andrew said he wanted to buy me a dozen long stem roses but they were worth $185 and he knew he would not be able to hide this sort of money from me and I would find out and be furious. And yes he is right I would have been, I know it is nice to be spoilt and everyone deserves this but I am sorry not at those sort of prices.... I went into Coles the same morning and a dozen roses nicely packaged were $40, now that is what I say is reasonable!!! So I tell him every time, when you are going to buy me flowers get them from Woolies or Coles they are the same thing, without the bows and cellophane etc but you have to put them in your own vase so why do you need all that extra stuff...

On Wednesday is our get together with Friends and scrap, it is the only day that we spend the whole day just doing this and chatting of course. NO interruptions except the occasional coffee or drink needed to be served. So it is great fun and I have managed to complete my layout that I am working on, soI love this day for ME.

But today was a little special as I was given a little pressie something special, tiny, of no value that you keep in your hands and rub and it is suppose to give positive energy etc. Nikki found this little smooth stone put a word on it and of course it is MY WORD and sealed it. Thank you so much, you would be surprised how one little stone can make you feel better... I love it.....

And lastly I would like to thank everyone for the lovely comments I have received lately, either by email or dropping by and saying HI... THANK YOU..... OH yes and Charlene have you been snooping on my computer!!!!

Hi Brendy, for some reason I have been having trouble getting on and commenting, but I am here now, and what a lovely bunch of flowers, I agree with Michelle lucky you. I love the little rock so very cute.

We should get our tiles soon, can't wait to see what I get.

Have a great week, best wishes

What a romantic surprise nothing like flowers but yes the cost is becoming out of this world. I was amazed on St Valentines day outside the florist at grandplaza the flowers, bears, boxes, baskets etc etc where lined from the florist shop abt 5 wide to the outside door awaiting delievery, amazing, & I didn't have my camera on me
